One question I get asked a lot is, does the app get in the way of patient care?

The answer is no, it doesn’t have to. Let me state that we have tried to design this so it doesn’t interfere with the number 1 priority – patient care.

The minimum we recommend on scene, is to start a case on the app, and take a photo. This achieves two goals:

1) Tells dispatch there is a case underway, where it is and who is on scene

2) Takes a valuable photo of the scene for later use in risk management or legal and insurance cases.

The remainder of the data can be collected when the opportunity presents itself, in the medical centre, a bump hut or patrol room.

It’s up to you how you manipulate your protocols to fit, as every resort is different.
